    Awards were given to Christian for obtaining his Shodan and to Tracy for obtaining her Assistant Instructor certificate at the annual summer dinner and dance.

  • ESKA Mini Olympics May 16th 2010

    Mini Olympics
    On Sunday the 16th May over 170 ESKA Karateka took part in the first ESKA Mini Olympics instructors course at the Stevenage Honbu.

    Students were able to try various martial arts including, Self Defence, Freestyle, Pad Work, Jo/Bo Weapons, Nunchucku's, Judo and Kata Bunkai.

    The course lasted just over two hours and everyone thoroughly enjoyed taking part in the days different disciplines.

    Liam is awarded the "Lower grades" student of the year award.
    Higher grade student of the year
    Sonny awarded the "Higher grades" student of the year award.
    Last year he was the "Lower grades" student of the year.

    An exhausting but highly enjoyable 4 hours Kumite training session took place on Sunday 19th April (just an hour for the little ones) at our Stevenage Headquarters. Members from all over the county attended..

    Well done to all the members of Knebworth karate club who attended the course run by Sensei Akita. ESKA flew Sensei Akita in especially from Berlin for this course and its only through your participation that we made it the success it was.  I think it was very interesting and I hope you all enjoyed it. Sensei Akita was very impressed with ESKA and our students and is hoping to come back again.

    A brilliant time was had by members of the karate club at the annual ESKA Xmas Dinner and Dance.
    David was awarded his 2nd dan certificate and the Peter Cox spirit cup.

  •  Kata Course June 29th 2008 Stevenage Hombo
    The black belts & intermediates enjoyed a two hour kata training course which was followed by a Kyu grade kata course. People could improve their kata or learn a totally new one.

  • Training with Wayne Otto April 20th 2008
    Four hours of Kumite training was thoroughly enjoyed by members of the club and fellow ESKA members. There were about 87 students in total.  Throughout the day he taught us techniques to help us improve our kumite skills. It was a really enjoyable day for all levels.

  • Bournemouth Gasshuku 2008
    Many members of ESKA including one of our own instructors joined Cheshunt Karate Club at their annual Gasshuku (14th-16th March at the Durley Hall Hotel in Bournemouth). Gasshuku means "training camp" and is held each year over three days to give students the chance to learn combined techniques from the instructors in a more concentrated environment.

  • ESKA Karate Club Christmas Ball December2007
    Jenny who passed her Black belt in May celebrated as she was awarded her Shodan certificate at the annual Christmas Ball.
