ESKA Championships 2023

What an amazing effort by all of our students this year at the championships!  The club brought back 9 Gold, 4 Silver and 13 Bronze medals. We are proud of everyone who entered this year as they also made it a great competition.

Knebworth Club squad members

Some members of the club competed at Karate England International in Harlow on April 22nd and 23rd, as part of the ESKA Squad team. It was a successful day and a few medals were won by our club members!

  • Oliver De Silva – Silver, Boys Shotokan
  • Sensei Matt Allen – Bronze, Men’s Veteran Open Style

They will then compete at the World Karate Championships in July, which will be held in Dundee.

ESKA Kumite 2023. Team Knebworth.

Well done to all the Knebworth Karate Ka that entered the freestyle competition on April 2nd.

This was the first ESKA freestyle-only competition that we have held and the organisers have learnt some valuable lessons.

The next one will certainly have more individual fights and I expect a repechage.

Knebworth came joint 1st out of 18 clubs so a massive congratulations to you all.
